Who you are writing to
TermCalc is an independent, self-funded project run by the TermCalc team — the same small team described on our About page. There is no call centre and no ticket system behind this page. The person who reads your email is the same person who maintains the calculators, so a short, specific message reaches someone who can actually change the site.
The fastest way to reach us is by email at [email protected]. Every message sent to that address is read by a human. You can also use the suggestion box that appears at the bottom of every tool page, which is described further down this page.
What we can help with
A result that looks wrong
If a calculator returns a number you believe is incorrect — a due date that falls on the wrong day, a margin that does not match your working, a tax figure that seems off — send us the details. Calculations are the one thing we can always fix, and a wrong engine result is treated as the highest priority.
A number or wording on a page
Pages carry worked examples, rate tables and plain-English explanations. If a figure on a page contradicts the tool above it, or a source we cite has changed, let us know. We re-check and correct page content when the underlying rule or rate moves.
A new calculator you want
Missing a tool that would save you time? Describe the input you have and the output you need. Suggestions shape what we build next, and we would rather build the calculator you actually asked for than guess.
Accessibility or a broken page
If a page is hard to read on your device, a control does not work, or an external link no longer opens, tell us the page and what happened. Accessibility problems and broken links are treated as bugs, not as suggestions.
The suggestion box on every page
Every calculator page ends with a short suggestion box. When you submit it, the form stores exactly three things: the message you type, the page you were on when you sent it, and a timestamp of when it was sent. That is the whole record — nothing else about you or your visit is attached to it.
The email field in that box is optional. If you leave it blank, we simply cannot reply to you, but your message is still read. If you fill it in, the address is used for one purpose only: to reply to that specific message. It is never added to a mailing list, never sold, and never used to profile you.
What to include in your email
To let us reproduce an issue quickly, please include as many of these as you can:
- The page URL — the full address, or just the tool name if that is easier.
- The values you entered — the dates, amounts, terms or rates you typed in.
- The result you expected — and, if you can, how you worked it out.
- The result you saw — the exact figure the calculator returned.
With those four pieces we can usually reproduce the issue on the first try and answer with the corrected figure or an explanation of why the calculation is right after all. A message without them is still welcome, but it may take an extra round of email to pin down what happened.
How quickly we reply
We read everything we receive, but this is a small project and there is no rota of staff waiting on the inbox. In practice you should expect a reply usually within a few business days. Reports of an incorrect calculation, and reports of a broken or inaccessible page, are looked at before general suggestions. If your message arrives at a busy time, a slower reply does not mean it was ignored — it means it is still in the queue.
What we do not do
To save you time, it is worth being clear about the limits of what we can offer:
- We do not give accounting, tax or legal advice. Every tool on this site performs arithmetic, and the pages explain the formula behind it. Which figure is correct for your situation is a question for a qualified accountant, tax adviser or lawyer.
- We do not file returns or submit anything on your behalf. We cannot prepare, file or amend a tax return, and we cannot act as your agent with any authority.
- We do not process invoices that belong to someone else. If you have received an invoice you believe is fraudulent or not for you, that is a matter for your bank or the relevant authority, not for a calculator site.
What we can do is make sure the maths on this site is right, the numbers on the pages are current, and the tools keep working. That is the whole job, and it is one we take seriously.
Before you write
Two quick notes may answer your question without an email. First, every calculator runs entirely in your browser, so your inputs never leave your device — if a result surprises you, checking the formula shown on the same page usually explains it. Second, our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is and is not collected. If neither resolves it, we are glad to hear from you at [email protected].
